The wood-framed version of the 12 x 16 inch (300 x 400 mm) Avize map.

The frame is ready to hang and crafted from solid, hand-stained wood, measuring 3/4 inch (20mm) on the front face and 1 1/4 inch (33mm) from the wall, for a clean, contemporary shadow-line look. A fine wax finish brings out the natural grain and warmth of the wood. Shatterproof plexiglass protects the map.

Avize is a grand cru Champagne village in the Côte des Blancs.

This is one of the first maps in Mapping Champagne, a new series of maps by Steve De Long and Charles Curtis MW. It's the first modern update and expansion of the pioneering work of Larmat, which was done in the 1940s.

Print: Pigment ink (Giclée) on 200 gsm (135 lb) archival matte art paper.

Print Dimensions: 12 x 16 inches for orders delivered to the USA or Australia, 300 x 400 mm for all other countries.

Frame: Hand-stained wood with wax finish

Frame Dimensions: 3/4 inch (20mm) on the front face and 1 1/4 inch (33mm) deep. Without mount: approx 13 x 17 inches (330 x 430 mm). With mount: approx 17 x 21 inches (430 x 530 mm)

Glazing: Shatterproof plexiglass

Mount (only on frames with a mount): 2 inches wide x 3/32 inches thick (50 x 2.4 mm), snow white.
